Class Announcements Terrific Science LabsWe're currently learning all about the properties of matter (solids, liquids and gases) through property stations. Students are using all their senses to even be able to describe objects that they can't see. We are also getting ready to start learning all about magnets and magnetism.
Exciting Math ActivitiesDr. Knott P.S.D. (The Doctor of Problem Solving) is teaching us how to problem solve using Model Drawing. We're also going to be learning how to problem solve with money by creating Thanksgiving Dinner Menus and using newspaper ads to help us determine the cost of our meal. We're also going to see how much it really costs to eat out by using menus from area restaraunts. We are also practicing our estimation skills through a weekly guessing jar. We've had pencils, m&m's, pinto beans and this week is Hershey Kisses. Thanks to all the parents who are helping supply guessing jars each week!
 Perfect AttendanceEach school day begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Students begin coming to our rooms around 7:40 and completing their morning routines and work. They must be in the room at 8:00 or they are considered tardy. When our entire class is here for the week, we get icecream or popsicles on Friday afternoon. I would really like to eat popsicles or ice cream every Friday afternoon - so I need your help! When our class has had 20 days of perfect attendance we will have an additional reward of some kind (ie. game time, snack, walk to McDonalds etc.) So, let's work hard this year to be at school everyday and on time!!!! If you do miss please remember to bring a note.

P.E. with Coach Goff and Ms. Olin1/2 our class will go to P.E. on Mondays and Wednesdays. The other 1/2 will go on Tuesday and Thursday. On Fridays... We go to Music and P.E. for 30 minutes each.
 Music with Mr. Bristow and Mr. Miller1/2 of our class will go to music on Monday and Wednesday and the other half will go on Tuesday and Thursday. On Fridays we all go to Music and P.E.
